JOE AT THE FAIR BY DOREEN ROBERTS

Joe goes to the fair. He drives a dodgem-car, hurries past the 'haunted house', tries his luck on the sideshows, laughs in the hall of mirrors. Candy-floss, coco-nut shies, roundabouts, and ghost-trains... all the fun of the fair is here, and Joe enjoys every minute of his crowded, wonderful day.

These are the sleeve notes that acompany this stunningly illustrated book about a little boys day at the fair.

I found this book in a second hand book shop in a half price sale box at 50 pence, it is in amazing condition.

This is the book that has inspired me to set the blog project up because it is illustration at it's best in my opinion.
This book has taken me out for a day at the fair and I have enjoyed it every bit as much as Joe! I hope that you can join us at the fair.

The book is published by Oxford University Press London
ISBN 0 19 279682 8
