The Wizard of Oz

I like to think that you will all agree that this is truly a find.

It was published as part of Splendour book series in 1958 by the publishers W.H.Allen London.

Author L. Frank Baum

Illustrations by Maraja.

This book is A3 in size and contains too many illustrations to scan all in one go so I decided to scan the chapter headings for now as I feel they tell the story so beautifully. A true marriage of text and image working hard together.

I will post highlights of the other illustrations soon but I can't put this book down at the moment, it is in excellent condition and a steal at £1 for two, yes there is another from the series that I bought today I will post the other very soon but for now enjoy the Splendour of this book.

Agree. And I thought I found good vintage children's books. Can I find myself a copy....?

Wow, this is so great! The typographies for the different chapters are so creative. I especially love the "Attacked of the fighting trees" text.
